During my 2nd year at UNCSA, I was a Welder and Carpenter for our fall musical “Heathers”. This show consisted of a large moving steel structure made of box tube, 2 moving staircases made of C-Channel, angle iron, and box tube, a wood band platform, and 3 light boxes made of box tube and flat stock steel.
I was responsible for assembling and welding the light boxes, welding the staircase handrailing and steps on the C-channel, and assisting a group of 4 welders in welding the main steel structure. I also assisted in the trial assembly in our shop and Loaded the show in and out of our theatre. below are photos of my welding projects and finished photos.
